Yes, I too had considered borrowing my friend's cat, but decided against it after hearing from so many about how cat's don't really solve the problem- I also imagined it might leave me 'gifts' on my bed, and a mouse corpse is not a warm fuzzy either.

Ananji~ Thank-you for visiting, too! You are right, the thick socks were not enough- though I wasn't in lotus position, I was moving my feet frequently to inhibit visitors :-)Ms. Senyakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04874794489285011052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23385289.post-69334599069614870362009-10-02T04:52:45.984-07:002009-10-02T04:52:45.984-07:00Hello, Tamar. We've all got our mouse stories to relate to your experience, feelings, adrenaline. I loved your admitting the thick socks with pant legs tucked in. I imagined you at your computer in a lotus pose rather than with feet planted on the floor.

I do hope your mouse was only a visitor passing through. It's unnerving to have to reclaim space from something so cute.

Good luck!

AnanjiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23385289.post-48360389646888543152009-10-01T21:47:17.882-07:002009-10-01T21:47:17.882-07:00Tamar, I clicked over from Deb's blog and glad...Tamar, I clicked over from Deb's blog and glad that I did. I have a smile on my face and memories of when when my house hosted a a mouse or two; my 4-pawed housemate. Alex the cat who owns me, played with them but refused to murder them. We also had an uninvited rabbit living with us for a while, but that's a much longer story.

Thanks for allowing me to vicariously experience your mouse house. I shall be back.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16939152657551690867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23385289.post-71283848634452158222009-09-30T22:34:02.542-07:002009-09-30T22:34:02.542-07:00hi kevin! Hope you get rid of the mouse.

Last year I was asked to take a dead mouse out of a trap by an elderly lady.

Turns out she wanted to re-use the trap. Apparently it cost $5. I almost gave her the $5 so she could buy a new one.

Fortunately I was able to get the dead mouse out of the trap. I had never done it before and hope I never have to do it again.

Will be interested to hear how "mousegate" goes.

Kevinpaz13https://www.blogger.com/profile/11499616107746916610noreply@blogger.com
